VI FEIRER DEN 35. UTGAVE AV FÊTE DE LA MUSIQUE!

Fête de la musique er den årlige musikkfesten som startet i Frankrike 21. juni 1982. “Musikken skal være overalt og konsertene ingensteds”, uttalte den nyutnevnte franske direktøren for musikk og dans, Maurice Fleuret året i forvegen. Myndighetene var i gang med en omfattende undersøkelse av kulturaktiviteter i landet som avslørte at fem millioner mennesker spilte et instrument, men bare et fåtall hadde adgang til konsertscener. Dette ble opptakten til en ny era: Adgang til konsertscener skulle blir enklere for utøvere og en større åpenhet rundt musikklivet markert gjennom det som skulle bli verdens største feiring av levende musikk – i alle sjangre: Fête de la musique, lagt til den lyseste og lengste dagen i den nordlige hemisfære, der alle som ønsket det kunne spille hvor som helst, hva de ønsket og så mye de hadde lyst til. 34 år senere lever fortsatt musikkfesten, ikke bare over hele Frankrike, men i hele verden.  Global Oslo Music flytter i anledning Fête de la musique til Paris andre år på rad: Med en egen scene i hjertet av Montmartre på taket av Paris, rammet inn av spektakulær historisk arkitektur, lover vi det beste av musikk og dans med utøvere fra Oslo og Paris, mens våre verter byr på god mat & drikke. Parallelt i Oslo inntar Koèju – våre samarbeidspartnere gjennom mange år – Cafeteatret med sitt ultra urbane elektroniske clubkonsept som de fortiden besøker storbyer verden rundt med. Og som alltid med en special guest. Fra Oslo deltar de i Fête de la musique på aksen Oslo-Paris. A big survey on the cultural practices initiated by the Ministry of Culture in France, revealed that five million people played a musical instrument while only a minority of performing artists had access to concert venues. A changement of the landscape of the musical practice in France was reclaimed by the authorities, leading up to the first Fête de la Musique – ant kind of music, anywhere by anyone without hierarchy of kind nor origin – launched on June 211982, summer solstice and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Til Paris kommer de med bagen full av plater for å signere årets Fête de la musique. The grassroots West Coast Hip Hop movement in his community, also provided Dj Darryl Jones, the environment to perfect and align his love of sharing music with the art of Dj-ing, specialized in:  Soul, Funk, R&B, Reggae, Nu-Disco, Deep/Chicago/Afro-House, Hip-Hop, Electronic and World Music.

Madar is a young Parisian techno DJ who’s passion for music has been growing over the years. Heavy bass and dark stripped down beats would define best his style of music. Always eager to play, Madar never skips the chance to showcase his music to a new audience.

Koèju celebrates Fête de la musique in Oslo Staging Cafeteatret on June 21 for Fête de la musique, Koèju introduces a new collaboration with a young Taiwanese cellist and electronic music performer; Wei Ting Zeng has her feet firmly in both the classical tradition and in the exploration of modern expressions. She has had extensive classical training, with background as the orchestra cello principle and member of Island String Quartet. Lately she has wanted to get more out of her instrument and has therefore been exploring live FX processing of her cello sound to create fantastic soundscapes and textures. This sets the stage for a very interesting collaboration with the electronic duo Koeju, the three musicians will work together to build cinematic, ambient, and rhythmic improvised music, as always pushing the boundaries for use of technology to find new and engaging sonic expressions.
