Behind the duo Murakami/Færden are Luiz Murakami (Brazil) and Tuva Færden (Norway) who met each other for the first time at a festival in Switzerland in 2019. The connection they found through their music was strong. Throughout the pandemic they stayed in touch and a beautiful musical project started to grow.

Their musical tunes range from traditional to original compositions inspired by the connection between the Hardanger fiddle from Norway and the “Rabeca” from Brazil. Different instruments from different places, but with a lot of musical connection. Together with a Norwegian lyre, a Brazilian guitar, a Japanese Shakuhachi and their voices, their path is to connect music from different parts of the world with a Norwegian-Brazilian perspective.
