BIG NEWS for Tropique Magnifique for 2018: We are moving venue from Ingensteds to Revolver!  
DJ BHLB har en sjelden samling av musikk fra tropiske strøk som i flere år har løftet dansemusikk i hovedstaden til nye høyder. Nå inntar han Revolver med Tropique Magnifique for første gang! 

(E) Revolver is a lot more intimate and more suitable for a warm Tropical party. If u have not been at Revolver before, it is located in Møllergata and features a great bar upstairs and a friendly club/concert venue in the basement. Tropique Magnifique will be in the basement by the backyard. I am super excited and cannot wait to play my new finds for you lovely people. Event will be up very soon. Signe  K. Emmeluth starts the evening with a short solo performance at 19’30. After the solo she will be joined by a group of invited musicians. There will be 3 sets of live music. Free entrance.

On Tuesdays this historic basement is filled with live music. Lots of musicians and a huge variety of instruments in a free falling improv session, so come listen, meditate or dance!

Signe K. Emmeluth (born 1992 in Denmark) ia s Danish saxophone player and composer residing in Oslo, Norway. Her unique style of playing with rapid moment in register and the swifting between distinct melodic lines and sudden outbursts makes Emmeluth an easily recognized voice. During the last couple of years she has marked herself as a growing voice on the scenes for improvised music, and has become an important performer on the Scandinavian music scene through her playing and composing. She plays a central role in the bands Emmeluth’s Amoeba, KONGE and OWL. Emmeluth has also collaborated with artists like Paal Nilssen-Love, Pascal Niggenkemper, John Edwards and Mette Rasmussen.

INNSPILLSMØTE FOR NY NASJONAL KULTURMELDING 
8. januar ble kulturlivet i Oslo invitert av Kulturetaten i Oslo kommune for å gi innspill til ny nasjonal kulturmelding. Global Oslo Music, ved Åsmund Skuterud, deltok med innspill rundt tematikk som problematiserer spennet mellom det lokale og det nasjonale kulturlivet i Oslo. Se innlegget her:
