Kaveh and Mirsaeed start the evening with a short performance at 19.30. After the solo they will be joined by a group of invited musicians. There will be 3 sets of live music. Free entrance.
On Tuesdays this historic basement is filled with live music. Lots of musicians and a huge variety of instruments in a free falling improv session, so come listen, meditate or dance!

KAVEH MAHMUDIYAN
Perkusjon
Kaveh Mahmudiyan er en norsk-iransk perkusjonist, med det tradisjonelle iranske slagverkinstrumentet tombak som hovedinstrument. Han har samarbeidet og spilt sammen med mange toneangivende musikere, komponister og vokalister både nasjonalt og internasjonalt på en rekke prestisjefulle og internasjonalt respekterte festivaler og konserter. Blant samarbeidspartnere finner vi den norske jazzmusikeren Bugge Wesseltoft og de verdenskjente iranske musikerene Javid Afsari Rad og Hamid Motebassem.
Som utøver jobber Mahmudiyan for det meste innenfor musikalske sjangere som jazz og iransk tradisjonell musikk og komponerer dessuten mye for tombak.
Mahmudiyan er høyt respektert for sin unike evne til å bringe ulike tonespråk og rytmer sammen.
MIRSAEED HOSSEINY PANAH
Performer, Composer & Conductor
Panah is an Iranian musician who has great background working in different styles of music. He has been honored several times for his performances and compositions and has performed extensively with ensembles and orchestras around the world.
While lecturing at a universitiy in Iran, he ultimately developed his own teaching method. At the same time established his own trio and orchestra, the Rooyesh Santoor Orchestra, as the first Santoor orchestra in history of his country. Santoor is an Iranian instrument, with a brilliant sound which made this instrument one of the most popular instrument, among Iranians.

If u have not been at Revolver before, it is located in Møllergata and features a great bar upstairs and a friendly club/concert venue in the basement. Tropique Magnifique will be in the basement by the backyard. I am super excited and cannot wait to play my new finds for you lovely people. Event will be up very soon.
